ELLIOTT HOUSE
MR. CHARLES QUAICOE MR. MIKE OWUSU
HOUSEMASTER ASST. HOUSEMASTER
MOTTO: OFFICIUM HONORE
Elliott House is the third house on compus at Leopoldville. It
was established in 1936 and named after Reverend Father Elliott,
the first old boy to receive holy orders. It has the motto "Officium
Honore". The colours of the house are blue and white which
signifies dignity and victory.
It was not before long when the mantle of leadership was handed
over to my deputy and me. It was though the task of leadership was
so great a burden but we comforted ourselves with the Holy Scripture.
"We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us"
The House in retrospect has been the outstanding house on the Santaland,
therefore we worked efficiently to crown its beauty by adding to
it gain with the help of our two Housemasters, full of logic and
justice.
Trully, Elliotites are nurtured by the spirit of Father Elliott
and has been able to produce the S.U. president in the person of
Samuel Mensah Dadzie, Presby students Union in the person of Dennis
Adjei-Darpong in the 2001/2002 academic year.
Boastings about academic gains in the inter-houses Science quiz,
the house was narrowly clobbered by Thomas Jonah House in the quarter-finals,
the members of the House Science team were Adjei-Sarpong, Dennis,
Evans Yeboah and Samuel Young Annan. The house also placed third
in the Inter-Houses debate Delali Adiamah.
Elliott House surroundings have been kept neat at all times with
the help of supervisors like Isaac Dwamena, Bernard Agyapong, Justice
Ackah, Otabil Acquah Quansah and Michael Arthur. In the fields of
sports, the house has helped the school with great sportsmen in
the persons of Philip Otuobisa, Mawunyo Gbedemah and Alhassan. Ibrahim
in Basketball. In the football, Kelvin Kusi Poku,
Alew Faisal and Vincent Asamoah. A short putt throwers in the person
of Isaac Dwamena and in hockey, Ahmed Abdulai and Dale Fischer.
We also drew second to Hamlyn House in the inter-houses football
competition in 2000/2001 academic year.
This year the College's Deputy Head Prefect is in the person of
Master Delali Adiamah, an Elliotite. The house has also been able
to produce a member of the Science team in the person of Adjei Sarpong
Dennis.
Upon all this, as the saying goes "roses have thorns and liver
fountains mud". In view of this, the house therefore appeals
to both past and present students to come to our aid in the field
of renovation.
Thanks to the Lord Mighty for a successful term of office.
Long live Elliotites, long live Adisco!
Nathaniel Hughes
House Prefect
