MR. VICTOR KOFI MENSAH-ADATOR (ENG. SOC. STUDIES)

iii. Mr. Victor Kofi Mensah-Adator was born on the 21st of September,
1954 in Cape Coast. He attended Dzita Local Authority Primary
and Elmina Methodist Middle Schools between 1963 and 1972. He
gained admission into Adisadel College in 1972 and pursued the
school certificate/G.C.E. Ordinary Level course which he completed
in 1977.
Later in 1977, he enrolled in Komenda College for a three-year
teachers' certificate 'A' course. He specialised in English, Social
Studies and Religious Studies. He completed this course in 1980
and was posted to Apemsu Presbyterian Middle School near Asesewa
in the Eastern Region, where he taught until 1982. He was transferred
to Elmina in September, 1982 and taught at Attrankwa D/C Middle
school for a year. In 1983, by dint of hard work he had his Advanced
Levels and gained admission at Advanced Teachers' Training College
at Winneba where he took a course in the teaching of English which
gave him Teachers Diploma in English. He was posted to Worawora
Secondary School in the Volta Region for his National Service
in 1986. He worked hard and became the Head of English Department.
After this National Service, Mr. Mensah-Adator came back to the
Central Region and took up a teaching appointment at Assin Manso
Secondary School, from 1988 to 1996. During his eight years at
Assin Manso Secondary School, Mr. Mensah-Adator worked diligently
and held various positions on the staff. He became the Head of
English Department in 1989-1994. He was appointed Guidance and
Counselling Co-ordinator in 1991-1993. He also assumed the position
of housemaster of Nana Kwame Nkyi House from 1990 to 1996. In
1995 he also had the opportunity and acted as Senior Housemaster
of Assin Manso Secondary School for a term.
In 1996, Mr. Victor Kofi Mensah-Adator went to University College
of Education of Winneba and worked for his B.Ed. (English and
Social Studies). He graduated in 1998 and joined the staff of
Adisadel College, his alma mater. Due to his dedication to duty
and concern for the boys he was made Assistant Housemaster to
Queque House in 1999. A year later, in 2000, he was appointed
Senior Housemaster, a post he currently holds.
Professionality, Mr. Mensah-Adator has risen through the ranks
in the Ghana Education Service and has been Assistant Director
since 1999.
